i see a chick walking down the street, she has a big belly. is she pregnant? that is what you are asking me;)
i dont know if the coloration of the fin has anything to do with it.

glofish are genetically modified, by inserting jelly fish genes in to them.
check out wiki yee of lil faith.

its is very possible that the fish is pregnant, as danios are prolific breeders.

i think they just let them float where they may. they also will eat there own eggs.

also dont use the black light alot as it will make your fish go blind

you may want to just try a actinic bulb instead, it emits a different wavelength but probably still close enough to cause the fish to glow

Glofish is a brand name for a transgenic zebra danio. These fish express a gene which produces a fluorescent protein that makes the fish "glow". The gene originally came from a coral.

Your fat fish is probably a female carrying eggs, but she will need to release the eggs while a male releases sperm in order to have the eggs fertilized. The eggs will need to land in an area where the parents cannot eat them.

To breed zebrafish (including glofish) you will need to manipulate the photoperiod and provide the fish with proper temperature and nutrition. You will find simple methods for breeding zebrafish and raising the fry in this link. It isn't hard at all.
