The settings are actually in every picture file. If you use Windows 7, and probably Vista, save it to desktop, right click, click properties, click details tab. It lists everything about the photo; aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, etc.

So, for the picture of the red flower, you probably don't need to use ISO-400. You can turn it down to 100 and be good. Although I guess you used an automatic mode for these?

I really like that lens but i think it is too much money and will take me a LONG time to earn it! I kinda think that extra 100mm will not mean too much to me but who knows, maybe it will! Thanks for the suggestion and i will definitely think about it! :)

Here's a link where you can see the difference between ISO settings pretty clearly. It's on the review for the camera I got, but the idea is still there:

Canon EOS 600D Review: 10. Noise & Noise Reduction: Digital Photography Review

You can see, if you turn it up from 100 to 400, you get a little bit of "noise" on the image. When you turn it up any much higher, it gets really bad. ISO settings that are lower make the camera more sensitive, but introduce that noise. Higher ISO is typically used to increase shutter speed for action photos, or shoot in lower lighting, but for an outdoor picture (high light) of a flower (still subject), you don't really need to turn it up to get a good picture.

Around $650 for full price! Well worth it though! :)
