looks like it has brown slime. Get it out of your tank..can release bacteria to your other corals. I would demand a refund and not another coral. I have not ever ordered coral from online sites, but I think there are a lot of issues that can occur with it.

I have a torch and honestly it is not hard to keep IMO. However you have to have really good water conditions and very bright light. Torches require the most light of that species. I have had mine for 8 months or so and it is doubled the number of polyps

you did not include that water in your system did you? I talked with someone that worked in a LFS that got a shipment of corals in that had RTN. Bags were nasty, slimy and smelly. Somebody stupidly opened the bags and dumped everything into their SPS tanks and they had a massive outbreak of RTN and brown slime. (there were many many bags of dead corals dumped in)

    sorry for your loss!

If you got that at live aquaria, I would be calling them ASAP. I can't even find a peice of living tissue on it from those pics, and I personally wouldn't have taken it if they paid me to house it.
I believe a refund is in order.

I agree, try to get a third one out of them... but, honestly, if it looked like that in the bag, you should've left it. Several online retailers insist once it hits your water, that's something totally different...

I wish you luck though working with them.

I've purchased from liveaquaria multiple times..they are very reasonable when it comes to giving you credit. unless the product is "expert only" then they guarantee that it stays alive for 14 days.
