I am happy to say a new 3reef site search is live that is better than before. Found in the footer under the logo, this site search uses a Google backbone that allows you to hammer on it without guilt, retrieves better results than the stock search and now includes image searching as well. The image searching even includes the 3reef Gallery images in the results. I am happy to see this live again and I think it should help a lot around here. This may move to the top nav, but for now look for it in the footer as that may take a while.

New site search found in footer:

Some more new/old features returning soon...

thank you for this Matt! I searched the other day and it really was rather difficult - or at least not search friendly :) this will be much better!

I liked the old search from before the new update, hopefully this newer search engine will be better ;) I've noticed a lot of forums (not just reef related) have been upgrading their searches, any reason for this?

Please report back what you think of this one Va Reef.
I don't know why others are doing it, I just know I didn't like the last two stock ones and liked this better. This version especially as it has thumbnails pulled from threads too.

That alone should top off any previous search engines. Sometimes when I do searches, I'm really just looking for pics. Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
