    My squamosa is about a year old now and has develped a nice blue rim and blue spots. Its been growing really well. I bought it as a regular squamosa for 60 dollars. Is this normal in most squamosa clams? Here's a before and after pic.

    It's actually possible with a lot of our photosynthetic pets; they adapt to different lighting by adjusting their zooxanthellae, which in turn, changes their color.

    Very beautiful clam, indeed. :)
