I sure will have to put a lot of thought in to that one, I sure didn't know what I was getting myself in to, hahaha! not going to be easy to clear out 12', but I might be able to with some good planning.

I know you can do it simply by moving out everything to the bottom right of that center rock (as we discussed) :) I also know you can do it because you care very much and were smart enough to ask for help! Believe me when I tell you that if all goes well and you can get it healthy and happy, it will probably be the showpiece of your tank. They truly are a beautiful coral. So, onward young man... ;D 8)

hahaha! After a lot of frustration, falling rock, screaming, breaking ends off other Corals, I did the best I could. he has tons of room now the 2 nearest Corals got to be at least 10' away or better, it should be the lowest current area in the tank, its not as low in the tank as I wanted it to be, but that base rock was to big to move. Thanks all and Lady J for the good advice and the heads up. if Lighting is still an issue I will find way to subdue the lighting in that area.

    Looks very nice! 8)

I hear ya on the frustration---I've cursed many times when trying to get things just right. ;D Grrrrrrrrrrr lol

Now just leave it alone and see how it does---if in a week it's not all "bubbly" ::) you may have to try something else.

You're welcome and I'm glad I could help (or at least try). I've surely had a lot of help so it's great to try and give it to others whenever possible.

I measured and its a good 13' to the nearest Coral and that would be that Finger Leather, I had to remove 3 rocks, but thats OK, their in the sump. only had to move 3 of my SPS, hopefully they like their brighter spots in the tank. he is already starting in inflate, if I get him healthy will all the damaged tissue heal?

I had no idea they got so big when fully extended, I was thinking more like double the size, but he should have plenty of room and if need be, the Finger Leather will be an easy move. that would be awesome to see it so big, I still can't imagine it so big, I think he will be OK. his 1st 24 hours in the tank was a stressful one for sure. Now I can leave it alone and let it do its thing, I will post updated pics from timeto time.

Ya know, I think you're very cool! It's awesome to see people care so much about their animals. :) Doesn't this get frustrating though, trying to get it perfect?! :p It's good to know that it'll be easy to move the finger if need
    be----whew.

I used to have a problem with my gorgonian and elegance coral. The best flow and lighting for both of them was in the exact same spot. Like bubble corals, elegance are very aggressive and mine was trying to take out the gorgonian. I moved them to different places, moved the power heads, moved the rock, moved one then the other, blah blah blah. One day I got so mad I yelled and swore at my dog. I think I hurt my dog's feelings. ::) Well anyway, I understand your concern and frustration but it looks like you found a good solution!

Wait till it's really open; you'll be in awe of how pretty it is and probably how big too.

Please post a picture and/or pm me so I can see cuz I'm excited for ya!

Sure thing Lady J and again Thanks! When I got in to this hobby back in March I knew what I was getting in to, those animals that I put in that tank depend on me for thier survival and everything in there is beautiful. So I do what I have to and what I can. If my success up to this point is any indication on how things will go for the Bubble Coral, I would say he will be in peak health in a few days. I sure will keep you posted.

..Nice placement..although it would like it lower...but it should be fine in that spot..but when they are swelled open..they get BIG !! here is an example...
