my friend was asking me the other day if his clam that he just bought would lose it's color under his PC lighting. If it did he wanted to know if it would come back after he upgraded his lighting.

Sorry, I can't help you out with that one. I bought a tank from a guy that already had the clam in it so I have no idea if it has faded or not under my PC's.

Did he/her already buy the clam? If so, has it already faded out.

If he gets the new lights immediately it should come back. The longer he lets it sit the closer it comes to complete death.

Fading under PC's, guess you didn't read my post about my buddies under PC's, no wait, you responded J/K :) How much PC is the question, not the fact it's a PC, as well as placement.

How much did he pay, well, nothing! I gave them to him, just like I do with a lot of my friends. Let's just say, my friends NEVER have empy tanks ;)

I have my clam placed almost on the very top. It has done very well under my PC's. It is one of my most favorites in the tank. If anything, my clam has gotten a little richer in its colors since I moved and set up this tank. Its pretty much in the same place the previous owner had it. The only difference was his lights were getting old and after one week of having it set up I had all brand new lights. 2x 96watt daylight and 2x 96 watt actinic 03's.

he said he tried to put it there but he kept falling off. he's had it for about 1 month and even though it's faded it's still alive.
