    Hi Everyone,

I just noticed my new clownfish has two white lumps on its back right by its dorsal fin. Can anyone help me in finding out what this is and how to treat it??

    Thanks!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Try googling "Lymphocytosis in marine fish" see if that looks or sounds like a match.

    Thanks, Corailline.

I looked this up and it could be this, just a very small outbreak of it. Today it seems as if the bumps are taller but not wider. Possibly about to fall off?(being optimistic here). From what I saw online is that there is no treatment for this and the fish just has to beat it. Do you have any advice for this?

Best of luck to you. I'm praying I never have to deal with this in my marine tank.

It's a contagious self limiting virus.

If it was my clown I would bump up the feedings by adding some selcon and I would start some Melafix as a precaution.

I did bump up the feedings a tad. I am also going away for the weekend so I want them to have a full stomach beforehand. We are now down to one bump! I have also been dosing melafix for a few days now, when I brought them home I noticed some minor fin damage.

Everything is looking up from here! Thanks for your advice!
