    Aww geez, that's so beautiful!

I've thought about changing from regular sand to black---your tank is a stunning example of just how pretty black can be! :)

It's funny you talk about using soil and C02 but I run a few plants in my fresh tank and I don't use either =P The things grow like weeds too! Must be the tap water I use =P

2n10 has been helping me understand ferts. I dose carbon and Seachem Trace but I have a bit of algae on the plants so I need more. I'm going to just keep learning!

Ugh, gotta go to work. Please add more if you'd like, I'll respond later. And, have a good day!

+1 The only issue with bettas is when they are kept together, or when you have other fish with long flowing fins. Same thing with angels. I kept a betta in a 30 gal with a school of rainbow tetras and some mollys; no issues at all :)

Way off topic, but I actually keep a molly in my 46 gal SW QT tank. They eat everything, so basically it is basically part of my CUC!

That's good knowledge to have about similar shaped fish with flowing fins. I really like the sailfin mollies but my LFS guy said very risky to have with a
betta---please don't. I listened and thanked him for teaching that to me. *This kid is amazing. He's 21 years old and has a tremendous amount of knowledge. The owner of the store is VERY lucky to have him as an assistant manager.*

Your stock list sound like a very pretty combination. :)

Regarding way off topic: anyone can hijack any of my threads. ;D Doesn't bother me in the least! :) I hijack my own threads.
:yelrotflm (<---- one of my favorite emoticons). LOL And yes, mollies can definitely be acclimated to saltwater and they surely do eat everything.

Check out their floor---if it's not sticky they must have had pancakes. 'Course, we then have the dripping syrup issue but I doubt that's been studied yet. ;)

thank you ma'am. I got the tank, display piece, and rock at pet smart. Its for the kids in their playroom. I actually sold my reef tank a few weeks ago. I need to work on getting my 125g aqueon setup. I like the natural setup that you have in your planted tank. Very good work!

here are some pics 31 days after starting the tank:

"blue" as my little girl calls him...
