Misbar Black Ice Snowflake Clown Pair

i got a new HD camera, so i thought i'd post some better pics of my misbar black ice snowflake pair the white spots are on the glass, not the fish, don't worry

 

They are stunning and I am jealous.

one question though, i've heard that the fact that they are misbar is pretty uncommon, ow true is this?

i think they're a pretty good lookin pair, most of the black ice i see have just a thin line of black surrounding the snowflake pattern, these two definitely have alot more than a thin line

 

Sweet fish! But I thought misbar and snowflake were completely different things. Like a misbar looks like a regular clown only the middle stripe doesn't quite connect, and snowflake look like yours?

Or are they misbar because it doesn't connect at the bottom?

 

misbar means it doesn't connect.

snowflake just means that there is an irregular stripe pattern.

and since they have an irregular stripe pattern that doesn't connect, hence, misbar snowflake

 

at least that was the impression i was under.... i could be wrong though...

yeah, that's a regular snowflake clownfish.

not a black ice snowflake like mine, but a regular snowflake.

 

i'm gonna upgrade my tank soon. i'm on the lookout for some misbar black snowflake right now. i think they're called phantoms or something like that.
