    room temp stays between 72 - 74. tank temp is at 82.8 now , hope it stops there.

    Do you have a pedestal fan? If you do try directing it at the outside of the tank. This has worked for me in the past and might just help get the water temp going in the right direction.

    No all there is in here are ceiling fans but that is a good idea I could go buy floor fan.
    I have 2 marineland 200W heaters HL14 why do u ask ?

    The heaters dont kick on till the temp drops below 80, once the temp is 81 and up it stays off . The heaters arent the problem , its the extreme heat of these MH bulbs.

    fishez, i wouldn't reverse them both. just one since they are at opposite ends one will suck in cool and the other shuold blow hot. i learned that from an old club DJ that lost alot of amps to heat. factory had amps with fans that blew out and all he did was reverse one and never had a problem since. it's worth a try anyways.

    If you haven't already done so, try setting one heater at 80 degrees and the other one at 78 so you don't have them heating to the same temp.

    Do you have a sump?
    That would help. more exchange with air, plus you can put a fan over it.
