    I am happy you got rid of your GHA, but I am having a major problem myself.. but I feel there are too many flaws with your solution!

    Eventually, the turbo snails will eat off all the GHA and starve, they have a heavy diet! So at that point lets say you return the snails to your LFS, or atleast cut back the number of them..

    Then lets say the GHA comes back, are we just going to add more snails again?


    I'm having a problem, where I think it's phosphates, but I only add RODI water. I have switched lights, and the algae was growing before and after the light switch so I dont know what to do and do not want to add 10 snails to clean it up, then return them just to have the algae reappear!

    +1 Good thread though! Glad you got rid of that nasty stuff!

    This thread is fro 2008 but you could get a reactor and run GFO to help with yours
