I'll send you a PM about the Silversides.

Cut the silversides up into several pieces. In their natural environment they prefer to eat many small fishes verses fewer larger ones.

I stuff my silversides with enrichments. The video below is how I do it.

Freshwater fish won't make a difference if you feed out a variety. It's when peeps use it as a thee food item, or a major part of a fish's diet, that it can create problems.

Saltwater fare and inverts are the way to go at the market. Cod, salmon (I'd go with wildcaught where possible), tuna, shark, lobster, oysters, scallops, haddock, halibut.... everything salty! Some of these are high in thiaminase, some are high in mercury, but if you mix it up, it won't be a problem. You may be able to find bags that have a mixed variety of products. Just make sure it only contains seafood and there won't be anything else listed in the ingredients. You may see Sodium Tripolyphosphate in the ingredients sometimes, avoid it if there is another choice. It's just a preservative, but why make them process it if they don't have to. To be honest, it's used on alot of the fish/inverts in the deli itself, so anyone who has fed their fish human intended fish products, have indeed ingested the preservative at some point already.

I'll stop there or I'll go on forever......
