TLF 150 reactor I decided to go over the top though and run a mag 7 snd split it between my UV light and the reactor. It has worked well and I just added the full 450ml of product today so I am looking forward to the overall sucess of this ;D I will post a video later today so yall can see it.

I also left the filter pads in the reactor the pellets were small enough to fit through the holes in the reactor. I will be replacing them with plastic mesh that you use for sowing so I get better flow.

Here is my SRO BR-2000ss with 1500ml of Ecobak. I have the valve of the pump closed a good amount and I'm still getting a good amount of tumble.

Jon, is that a good tumble, too much, or not enough? Thanks.

reef enthusiast, that looks good. It's hard to get a good tumble thats not too strong when you're moving more than 1L. That's just about perfect...

Thanks Jon. I was running it in another reactor external from my sump with a Mag7. It was tumbling well but at about 3 weeks in I couldn't get it to tumble much at all. I guess it's due to the bacteria coating the media. Nothing against the other reactor but I didn't want to get a bigger pump like a Mag9. Plus in all fairness to the other reactor, it was quite a distance from my sump. So, figured to go insump and go with the SRO.

Hopefully it kicks in soon. This is running on a heavy loaded 300 FOWLR. I usually do 40 gallon weekly water changes. However, since I just had achilles rupture surgery last week, I won't be able to do a water change for 6-8 weeks.

    Jon,

    My new hydra reactor:

I love the design. There is no screen of any sort to have clog and the tumbling shouldn't vary over time. The action may be too energetic though. I think I'm willing to chance it in exchange for the other benefits, but what do you think? If I do chance it, what should I watch for?

I am using the TLF phosguard reactor and modified it with taking out the lower sponge and have a sponge at the top to catch pellets from coming out. I actually posted about this in another thread in that I wasn't getting even tumble on the pellets only one side was really tumbling. I adjusted the leveling and increased the flow somewhat but still getting uneven tumble.

Just setting up my 220G and went with the Vertex RX-U 2.0 reactor. It is driven by a Eheim compact 2000.
I've been using Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter7 to seed
