RapidLED Diy, I have 16 cool white and 16 royal blue 5w leds running about 50% and 4 UV which i think are less than 3w on the same channel as the blues.

I have been thinking it is on the low side due to them only running 50% but i guess maybe a PAR meter will have to be used to find out.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I do not know what to make of that, my big frag is under some intense lighting, and my smaller one off to the side about 5 inches which is a lot in my tank.
LED running at 70% for 12 hours. I hope yours turn around for you.

I've got my rastas directly under my halide with moderate flow too. Some reason they like a lot of light and flow in my tank.

    Yeah mine too (but LED).

I am actually surprised at how un picky they are. They really grow fast once they get acclimated.

All but 2 of mine which are more or less under the plug have melted away. I only had one opening up before I did a lugols dip and the other opened up. They are both very healthy and happy looking but I think maybe It took me too long to get the lugols and dip them for the polyps i lost. Hopefully they will do like Cheryl's and only Two should be enough to get a colony out of them, they are usually sold in ones and twos . Shouldn't be a problem so long as I don't lose the two i have.

So my 2 polyps are now officially 3! It is definitely a new polyp because when I wrote the post above there was nothing next to the 2 i have and now there is a tiny little polyp which I can just start seeing the skirt today.

I think i am going to have to tinker with my lights a bit and maybe see if an lfs has a par meter for rent.
