Leak again

So for the second time in 8 months I just finished the mad scramble to save our corals and fish. My Oceanic 72G bow quickly started to drain. I'm at my wits end. I had my tank replaced under warrenty last time. The tank is level.
I just don't know what to do. I have lived in fear for the last few month bolting out of bed at the slightest change in noise from the tank.
I would pack it all in if I just didn't pay for my MH.

was your tank replaced totally or just fixed? maby if still under warranty you could get it replaced again but go with a regular tank with no bow front. i read someting on the internet not to long ago that some large bowfronts have a tendency to leak but its usually overtime. or maby you could try to seal it your self

i never had to fix a leak yet (knock on wood) i know its a lot of links but maby someting in there can help you get your problem fixed. And i hope it works out i would hate to see you pack up the hobby if you dont have to

Man, I'm sorry, jakets. I have an Oceanic 58g and it hasn't given me a bit of trouble. Maybe it's the bowfront thing.

Anyway, I'm really sorry. Karma for you. I wish I could do more... :'(

 

Could it be possible? The washing machine seems to cause vibration thoughout the condo. We've been doing the glass of water test in different spots throughout the condo, and found, when the spin cycle is there is a great deal of ripples in the water. could this be why??
and how can I stop it?

Man I have a hard time with that one. Did you notice the aquarium shaking a lot when it was on?

I would think the Oceanic could take occasional mild vibes from the washer. :-/

This is nuts! So this is your 2nd tank? They replaced the last one?

 

I have placed a bucket of water in spots the Aquarium coulds fit and each place while the washer is in the spin cycle there is ripples in the water. Yes they replaced it with in a week.  The crazy thing is it's the back seem that goes.  Both times.  This time the seem was so far gone that sand was leaking.
I currently have 7 fish in a 10G and all my coral in a rubbermaid low sided contaner.
I think I have two option
1) new washer and build a sub-floor for the tank
2) get out while the gettings good.
We've been lucky both times we've been home but both my wife and I travel a lot for work and if this happen again when we're not home we're screwed.

 

Just talked to the LFS that I bought my tank from. He also doesn't think any vibration from a Washer would cause this. He is willing to change out the tanks to a non-Bow and seek compensation from The manufacturer.
Now I just have to talk my wife off the ledge. But the key is to make here comfortable with the situation. If she says it's gone I'm willing to let it go. I can't have her living in fear of a leaking tank.
She is being very supportive, knowing how much I Love the tank and I think she is hiding her true feelings.
Man oh man this is a tough desition

 

Man that is tough J. I'd love to see you stick around and get through this. But I don't blame you for being bummed. Doesn't get much worse than that happening twice! :-/ Good luck.

Just my $0.02. I think you should get the replacement tank. You have so much time and $$$ invested in the tank at this point, not to mention the investment of yourself, you will feel badly that you didn't at least try -- and that might lead to resentment.

I can't possibly imagine that a non-bowfront would leak as well, at any time. That would go so far beyond statistics to be supernatural. I'm sure that if you told your loving wife that you felt comfortable that a non-bow wouldn't have the problem, she would be agreeable.
