After talking to owner the for a while tonight, the clam been moved 4 times since they bought him and transferred well with all there upgrades and moves. He's been in the current system for 1.5 years. I used a styro-foam cooler and just got him home! He's acclimating now! He's pretty darn big! Gold and black. I can't wait to see him under my lights!

Everything looks good so far. I'm going to take the next hour to acclimate.

I would not transport anything in stryrofoam. U can buy a rubbermaid tote for 15 dollars how much is the clam worth the tote wont crack the Styrofoam can. Just a thought.

Yeah, but tote won't give on the clams delicate ridges. After considering the pros and cons, I decided a thick styrofoam was the safest over all. He seems to have acclimated and is starting to loosen up just a bit. No mantle extension though. He's not quite 12" I wouldn't say. but plenty big enough to look great!

Pics I took before leaving his house, over the top view, couldn't get a decent front view.

Completely closed up, he's a little bit bigger than a regulation pro football!!

I'm thrilled! He's very responsive, and looked great in the tank he came out of. Now lets just hope everything went well and he keeps on getting even bigger for the next 8 years!
