The tank is actually built out of LEGOS, so the figures are included with the set. ;) You'd have to use kryptonite to get these away from our web designer. We swiped them from his desk for this photo while he wasn't looking. :-X

*Disclaimer: The tanks are not actually made of LEGOS.

I had a real good laugh over this

On a real note, I am seriously debating about buying a Nuvo system this summer to see what all the hype is about. Many members of my Facebook page LOVE their tanks from Innovative Marine.

Does MD.com have a favorite size??

    Nuvo: Favorite Size?

They are super clean, modern looking tanks. The days of all-in-one tanks with a hood and canopy seem to be on there way out. Rimless/framless aquariums are what most folks are after these days.

As far as what's most popular with hobbyists, we can tell you without bias the answer is the 16-gallon nano in black (we checked the data). Next is the 30 followed by the 38, although in the past 30 days pre-orders for the 24 have outnumbered sales of both the 30 and 38.

That all said, it's really up to the individual user. We definitely prefer the 38 over the 30 because, well, why not? The more water volume you have, the better. Generally speaking, most people who are deciding between two different size tanks wish they'd opted for the larger size. So, if you were considering the 16, we'd encourage you to go for the 24 (or 38 if you were considering the 30).

It's also worth pointing out only the 30 and 38 gallon sizes have stands at this point, so you'd need to find an appropriate stand/table/etc. if you opt for another size.

My personal favorite (hi, I'm Jeff) is the 38 (biased: I own it) followed by the 24. ;D All the tanks have spacious back chambers to add a reactor, skimmer or DIY 'fuge.

After reading the disclaimer, I no longer want one. :-[

I am looking at getting the cube Nuvo 30 gallon. It looks sharp. My wife really wants some sexy shrimp, and I don't want to put them in my reef as that seems like expensive food.

    Sexy Shrimp Dinner

Wise decision. I put a sexy shrimp in my 24-gallon mixed reef a handful of years ago and it was immediately eaten.

Here is the 30 (on the right) next to the 38 at a recent SCMAS aquarium club meeting:
