Temperature is rising. its 74.5 at the moment. I will need to re order a test kit as my old one expired.
Water changes are rare in my tank due to its size. However anytime parameters swing, I do a 25% water change or so. I may be due for one for sure. (it had been working this way for the past 8 years...lol and what aint broke...xD) Problems only started happening last year, but perhaps now I need to be a bit more diligent since the tank seems to be a bit out of shape.

I dont get shocked when I touch the water. Only when I touch the light fixture and I have to touch the underside of it. ( my hands were dry too). Anywhere else seems fine. I removed a lot of the old equipment today. The heaters, and some water pumps. Toadstool seems to be opening back up so perhaps thats a good sign.

I would raise the temp over a few days..... It's not good to have a big swing in one day. But yes if the toadstool is opening that's a good sign. As far as your lights shocking you, I would definitely try to get that straight. But at least it's not shocking your tank.... Sorry I miss understood you. I know you will figure this out.

yeah, Im not worried about the puffer. He isnt scratching, or acting weird. Im sure he will be fine though.
I do have garlic drops, but he already eats like a pig lol. The rest of the fish dont seem to have anything. Even the tangs. ( it might just be his color pattern and its not even ich lol.. although it kinda looks like it). My current ones are T5HO. If it wasnt for the shocking, I honestly would just change the bulbs. I just dont know how to go about fixing the problem without buying a new fixture

Use a multimeter and see if you have stray volts. Once you verify stray volts, take out all your lights and check for stray volts again. If you don't have any stray volts with all the lights removed reinstall one light and check for stray volts. If none present install another light until you find the stray volts. Remove that light and try another light in the same spot. If you don't have stray volts then it's your light bulb. If you have stray volts then you've isolated it down to that area. Continue using your meter and start troubleshooting that area. What if you jumped over that one socket and installed the rest of the lights... do you have stray volts then. Digital meters are relatively cheap and could save you quite a bit if you can find the source of your stray volts.

I called my LFS and these are actually the brand that he was selling, but they are short cubes kinda like the ones I listed from Ebay. Although theirs are the older generation maybe? because they do not have the controllers or the fancy hardware. Its just the LEDs with a nob to change the brightness of the lights.
I checked the website and they do not seem to have them in stock anymore. My LFS sells them for 150 dollars however.

I'm not sure? Not to familiar with that particular fixture? I would maybe talk to the LFS and see what they recommend. Have you found your issue with your current fixture?
