Updates, thought lastnight was the night, most are silver and also it was the 8th night. Updated pics one from 7th and one from lastnight. will try my luck tonight. Tank is not at 80 till mid day so I read that can delay hatching. right now I don't have any food. coming next day air tomorrow from florida. Larva tank is ready to go tho.

Well was up for 2 hrs after the lights went out nothing, this morning no eggs, so either the parents ate them or tey hatched and the rest of the tank ate them. So 1st batch wasn't very successful. hopefully they lay more soon, i've read that they lay sometimes twice a month do they take a week off or so and then lay the 2nd batch??

Thanks for the info, hopefully mine will also, the male looks like he was starting to clean the shell again and lost at the same time.

another thing you may want to do is take both fish and the snail shell out once the eggs are layed. If they get stressed the male will eat the eggs. Once they do hatch, they will most likely get eaten by tank mates or filtered out by your system. The lfs i go to is setting up a piece of slate that will go where they normally lay on the glass, that way they will lay on the slate which can be removed to be put in the hatching tank. I will take osme pics when i go there later today

thanks, Yeah i put a tile in next to the shell that i saw them picking at 10 days ago but i think it was already set that the snail shell was going to be the place. Hopefully they will turn to the tile then i can remove it a few days before they hatch to make things easier.
