Does the fluidized reactor replace the other filtration systems or are you supposed to run both?

This is for a freshwater planted tank. Do you mean freshwater pods and clams?

This is a freshwater tank so clams are out. The uv does work and when I used it fixed the problem. You may need to add more plants in the long run to use up the excess nutrients.

I think I have an old sterilizer in the garage--it probably needs a new bulb.

I'm so tired of this I'm ready to tear it down and start over---foolish, I know, just frustrated.

This was my green water. Just hang in there and get the UV going. It takes a little bit to clear up but it will clear up.

Just a bit of hope. It did end up crystal clear in the end.

Oh my, yours was green. I'll look for my sterilizer in the garage and see about a bulb. I don't want to put any more $ into this tank right now so hopefully this will work. How long did it take for yours to become clear?

My bad, Missed that. However freshwater pods will also feed off them however I'm not so sure they are as ravenous as those found in salt. Clams are filter feeders so they will to yet they will not be as effective is their much larger marine cousins. Looks like UV might be your friend.

Thanks! Hope I figure this out because in all my years of having aquariums I've never had this problem.

I cannot find the sterilizer---I think I got rid of it a long time ago, can't really remember. :(
