    ive been cautious with this hobby since day one, and it got me no where.. so at this point im going to take a risk, if it comes back and bites me you can say i told you so, and i will take that lol but i needed to do something different and fast, so i removed the other half of my bioballs and am going to a fuge tomorrow;)

    Nope its not heavily stocked anymore, just 3 fish and im ok with that lol i usually feed a cube to 1/2 cube every other day anyway so its not 2 much to begin with

    just caulerpa and chaeto, i have a small clamp on heat lamp from my iguana tank if i just swapped bulbs would that be alright?? only problem is i know it would throw some nasty heat so that might not be a good idea?

    I'm not really an I told you so kind of guy and I'm certainly not always patient myself. I can sympathize with wanting to see results quick. It doesn't tend to happen, but I certainly hope it does ;)

    Anything that can handle a standard PAR30 light is fine. The CF shouldn't put out much heat.

    Just got back from doing my water test, and its awesome Here we go!

    NITRATES - 20 PPM
    Nitrites - 0
    ammonia - 0
    calcium - 500 PPM
    Alkalinity - 13dKh
    PH - 8.2
    phosphates - 0

    so im pretty sure once i get my light tonight, and get some cheato they will be gone within a few days and my nitrates will be 0 soon enough!

    Are you dosing Calcium and dkh?

    A biopolymer media would do the trick... ecoBAK users report sharp declines in PO4 and NO3 after 4-6 weeks.

    yea i do a daily dose, im going to skip tomorrow to let it balance out a little and then start back up again.

    Well the otherday i removed my bioballs and today i started up my fuge, here she is!
