High flow refugium?

    For months I've been battling cyno in my very low flow fuge. My intake pump has a flow regulator attachment. I opened it up a wee bit more last week. Today cyno has been cut in half, so I think there's a happy medium :)

    yeah, i think running a small pump well above the substrate won't emulsify your pods! Are ya gonna get some of them yeah! But prob not enough to outweigh the bonuses you'll get!

    You want algea to grow in your refugium. It will help keep the algea out of your DT. I have a under tank refugium as well as a hang on the back one. Both have algea in them, but none in my DT. I just turn my cheto by hand every few days.

    going to attach an aqueon 10g hob and let it do some added chemical filtration, not sure - but i'm debating on adding active carbon in a filter sock, thoughts?
