I recently added quite a few lps to my tank and i had to start dosing alk every other day to keep it at 8dkh. Once i started doing that i noticed that my xenias that have been doing great are really small and seam like the patch is getting thinner. Any help would be appreciated.

Really sorry for that! I am having the same thing happening with my Blue Waving Hand, it was so nice, now just a few small patches are left, I am afraid they won't make it. I don't think I can help you with the problem, but maybe give you an idea what MAY be happening, I eliminated thoughts of what could be happening with testing and observation think something was eatting them. It may not be the reason, but i can only draw one conclusion, since the heat wave started I had very unstable water temps, going to anywhere of 76 to about 86, this is been on going as I have not been able to keep my temps stable, I believe this is the issue, I also noticed around the same time that my Fiji Yellow Leather has had issues also. wished I could help, I don't want to lose mine either.

This is what's left of mine :( I am very sad watching that thing melt away to nothing, that rock was completely covered and I bought it worst shape than it is now, but it recovered so nice and now its melting away again. I am 99% certain water temp is the cause.
