I have some green start polyps which do not seem to be coming out for the past couple of days. They are placed high in tank and have been there for about a month and everything was fine. I fragged them off another larger batch on the bottom of the tank. The ones on the bottom are fine. I have done water tests and everything is fine. Is there a problem with these ones at the top?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I have had GSP stay closed for over 1 week, may be even close to 2 weeks. I would not worry at all. Just make sure detritus is not allowed to collect and not algae is growing on it. If it continues to stay closed over a week, try changing the flow.

    Good Luck.

is it possible they dont like the lighting at the top of the tank?

Mine freaked when i fragged the colony and placed the new frag higher than the original colony. once i move it lower it flourished. just a thought

I wouldnt even give them a second thought yet. Like the other poster said they do that some time. I've seen my close up for 3-4 days at a time. The thing to look for is any dye off of the mat or around the edges.

I had a sponge growing over half of mine :( It looked like clear goo). I ended up just cutting that part off and scrubbing it off the rock with a toothbrush.
