    Every tank is different.
once balanced you will see it grow all over.
Do you have powerheads in the tank?
how long do you leave the lights on the tank?

And you are still wondering why the coraline algae is not growing?
Once again this is a water quality issue. Use RO/DI water and the problem is solved

Your tank maybe so far gone that you may need a UV unit to help you. Save those pennies and get a RO/DI system.

Who makes this DI filter. You have not answered several question that I and some others have asked. Please re-read all the posts and reply.

Is this DI filter the type you hook up to tap water fauscet? Those top out and are spent around 60 gallons.
The ro/di unit betters that times 100. So RO/DI unit is cheaper and pays for it's self in the long run.

yes you attach it to a water faucet. It's the Tap Water Purifier by American Pharmasuticals.
