    Hi guys
This is kind of an emergency. I have a 30 gallon saltwater tank thats been running close to 2 yrs. I currently have a couple of clowns and 2 chromis.
As a filter i have been using a marineland emperor 400 thats been working smoothly until a month or so ago. I just noticed that it started to fail again.
I have been thinking on improving the filtration system but not sure where to start.
I would like to add some corals in the future and i dont mind the investment as long as is a good one.
    ill appreciate the help

Try and figure/build a sump for it would be my advice. Otherwise- a replacement of a HOB filter.

I agree, plumb it if you can. but in the past I have used HOB filters for my 30, and currently have a marineland on a cube, which I will probably use for quarantine. I also like the versatility of the Aqua Clear Filters, (if they are still a thing) because of the filtration options they offer. though it seems like they are all pretty much a big box that you can mix and match media if it fits properly and maintains flow.
