I've had my elegance coral for over a week now and it hasn't opened more than this. In LFS the tentacles were way longer. Should I move it to another spot in the tank or just let it be?

Flow is moderate and the lighting is a 30" double T-5. Soon to be a 36" quad T-5.

Low flow, just enough to move the tentacles around a bit seems to be what they live best from everything Ive read.

Does it have a feeding response? Elegance usually have a strong feeding response and should close up around some mysis or brine

Definitely has feeding response. It opens up a lot out of the skeleton but the tentacles just aren't out like they should be. Maybe a low flow spot on the rockwork will make a difference.

Looks like it's stretching to gather more light.

Thanks Dan. That was a concern of mine. I'm gonna put it closer to the lights today.

I got my new light fixture today and put it on the tank and what a difference. The elegance is fully opened and happy. 4 T-5 bulbs are better than 2 ;)
