Dealers get upset because it is mandated they cannot sell below EcoTech's set price. Dealers feel people that go below that cost gives them an advantage to sell their product before ones that do not dip below the set price.

I'm sure the price of these items are not cheap to the dealers, and the cart discount can't get to high for that reason.
another larger company is matching big al's cart discount code. on these items. so its not like it can't be done, its being done.

also, it appears that the company that discounted the ITEM once it was placed in the cart...it showed as being a lower price. a secret lower price on that item once in the cart. not a lower price on the whole cart ( your whole purchase) there is a difference imo.

lol...yea whats with those people? i was on that forum, I'm a member but haven't posted there in a long time.

i know it would solve a few problems I'm having with an added lower light source, and a moon light. plus i really like the idea of being able to adjust the color. i have 3 new halide bulbs here, that i didn't like for one reason or another. I'm using the phenoix 14 bulb, but its just to blue for me, my tank being a cube would look better a bit more white, crystal clear.

sunset and sunrise is also a major plus, i used to do a simulation on another tank of that with 8 t5's coming on a and going off in a sequence to amp up lighting during the lighting period.

this radion seems like the answer for me. thats if corals will grow nicely under it. I'm actually thinking this light i might have to run at a lesser power, since my tank is only 14 deep. i now run a 150w 14k halide, i think this light would throw more light out and be more even over a 24 by 24 tank than my halide is. and solve the problems i have mentioned above.

my one concern is how loud is that fan. its what holds me back. i don't have a fan at this time and like how quiet my tank is.

It sounds like it would be the perfect light your your tank. It mimics a halide perfect and does so much more. The fan is relatively quiet. I don't even notice when it comes on.

The fan is high quality (like a high end computer fan) and should run quite quietly. I can't imagine EcoTech taking all that time designing a high end product like that, only to put a noisy fan in it.

I've read nothing but great things about the fan, all hands-on users would always note it was "silent".

I feel the Radion would be perfect for my 30x30x18 cube, as I believe 30" is just about the spread for one unit and 18"d is good for PAR.

Now to go check my finances and figure out how to buy one without filing bankruptcy :)

are you running the light with the power maxed? i heard certain settings make the fan run more.
whats your thoughts about par on this tank with it being so shallow? and running it lower. i understand this led mimics a 250 watt halide as far as par. whats your thoughts?

the product has a quality look to it. i wish i could hear the light while running. if its like an apple computer fan thats like no sound to speak of
