I have to say ... my 20 long is the hardest tank I've had - and the smallest!

Keeping acros, fish, etc.. in such a small tank is a challenge for me. I'm always realizing what I did wrong last week. For instance tonight I was marveling at some new red algae and wondering what could have spiked it.. I think it was because I noticed that my pH had been low and cranked the effluent on my calcium reactor... which raised pH but lowered alk... could this be, or is it from all the food I've been throwing since I've overstocked the tank with fish I shouldn't have? :-X Or is it my relatively new halide/T5 light and all of the above? ::) :tongue4:

Either way... this is a challenge. Do you have a nano aquarium going? :ears:

Matt, I am going to have a nano - a 20 gal long w/ ~20 gal fuge and 10 gal sump(also a 20 gal long tank) = 50 gal. Is it still consider a nano?

I am setting it up next week. I can't wait!!! I love it when I get to build/setup something! It's not gonna look all that good, but it's going to be a frag tank. :)

O, yeah, I want to keep acros, montipora digitatas, soft corals, and a clam. Is 175watts of PC enough? How about 72watts of T5-HO?

    Thanks!

2.5 gallon nano here. It once held a mantis that died during a molt then a pair of harlequin shrimp which have been moved to my new-ish 46 gallon hex. Now it's just a temporary holding tank for a serpent star that will eventually go into my 180 gallon once it's set up and cycled.

10 gallon here. Right now I am having a ph problem. Lost most of my pulsating xenia as a result. I am finding it a challenge, but I enjoy it. I have to learn to leave it alone except for water changes, addition of chemicals & testing. I have been one who loves to rearrange the coral & I know that is a no, no. I'm going to sit back, enjoy & let nature take its course.
