This thread popping up again reminds me I owe it a response. We finally got rid of the Dino with a 5 day total blackout and 3 weeks of nothing but blue low intensity light.

 

Just saw your page Pants. Are you interested in a bubble algae sample?

 

We have a local club member who breeds fish/shrimp etc that has a microscope with a camera. I have sent her a message, hopefully I can get you some pictures. Then I can send you in a sample.

 

I talked to our local member. She has her scope out on loan to another breeder. I'm up next for when she get's it back. I'm hoping relatively soon, however, I'm not going to bug someone over lending equipment...

 

I have some updates. This is not from the microscope, but the lense from an old broken laser pointer.

Thats not enough magnification for me to ID, but sometimes just the movement alone can give some hints. Are the cells moving?

 

How do you get Dino?

 

How are they moving in the tank or when I threw them down to take pictures?
