Im thinking about getting a copperband fish to control my aiptasia. Does anyone have any experience with this fish? I hear they are hard to keep alive and eat certain corals. The guy at pet store said he never had problem with his but all i read is how they are pickey eaters. Any advice on this fish

They are finicky eaters. I kept one out of 3 without feeding problems.

try to inject with lemon juice it works like a charm. i do it all the time with success just dont over do it cause it will mess with the PH levels in the tank if you use too much at once only kill at most 5 or so at a time it only takes a drop injected into the mouth and you will see the thing just melt away its fun to watch

If your lfs has some that eat imo go for it (if you have a big enough tank and not too many fish already). They are cool fish, although I have heard some don't help with your problem anyways. Just make sure to have the store feed your fish in front of you before buying it.

I'd suggest grabbing some peppermint shrimp. The copperbands are quite difficult to maintain in a home aquarium. The difficulty often comes through feeding.

i had the same idea, to get rid of aptasia. but after the aptasia were gone they starved, unless they would occasionally nip at my corals.
