Other than placing the food right by his mouth with tongs, I got nothin'. You've done a lot for him already.

I tried some freeze dried krill and placed it in the tank an inch from his mouth. He looked it over for about 2 minutes and then moved on. Quite sad.

ELATED!!!!!!!!!!! Just when I thought the end was here and death was at the door I tried something else just on a whim. I got some mysis and soaked it in garlic for about 20 minutes and then mixed it with water from my DT. I then let it sit in the glass until the shrimp were suspending themselves just below the top of the water. Kind of hanging in the water column. Then I poured the concoction into the tank with him. The shrimp all floated back up near the surface of the tank but stopped about an inch from the top. I then just let them float. The Trigger looked at it several times but ignored all the shrimp and in fact sat with them nearly an inch from his mouth for about 20 minutes without acknowledging the shrimp. I left the room and came back about 30 minutes later. I started counting. I was minus 4 shrimp! So I reached in a grabbed some others floating in the tank and through them over near him. He ate each and everyone that floated by his mouth! The road to recovery could still be a long one but I believe I have reached a major milestone and cleared a huge hurtle! Now I am going to lower the cupramine just slightly and continue with treatments.

I dont want to get ahead of myself but I think its time to start looking at a larger tank. He is still quite sick but I am remaining optimistic. The last thing I want now is to add stress to a sick fish merely because his home is too small. However, I do not have another tank much larger than the one he is in. Anybody got one they wanna loan?

That's Amazing! Gosh you've don'e alot for this thing... This thread definately needs to stick around for the future treatment of this disease/parasite. Actually, might be worth having a good solid summary made up of what you've done. I've learned alot by following that's for sure. Well, lets hope our rejoicing isn't premature. Keep us informed Ry! Gosh, that is going to be your buddy if/when he makes it to that DT!
