Very carefully - they sell a vacuum at florida aqua farms and I think I'm going to break down and buy it.

I've been using a regular gravel vacuum and rescuing some of the fry from the 5 gallon bucket if I get them. It's a real PIA - so I think I'm going to break down and buy one.

To fill I use a large Tupperware bin that sits across the top of the tank and use a short piece of airline with a valve in it to drip my water back in.

Just after meta and around the time when would add an sponge filter - I just change the tanks.

With 3 ten gallon tanks I have a system going -

hatch in one - then in 9 days when the next hatch is ready I hatch in a 2nd ten gallon then around day 10 or 11 I move the first hatch to the 3rd clean 10 gallon and get that tank ready for the 2nd hatch to move over when they hit meta. At around 16 days I move all the first hatch to grow out and that frees that tank for the next hatch.

I just keep the cycle going.

I need to work on the wife this weekend to let me buy some more tanks cause I've got 1 hatch now, the clarkii's just laid again today, my male banggai has started spitting out babies tonight and my occ's have been cleaning like crazy the last few days.

LOL... just hope you have the grow out tanks to support all that!

My wife just gave me permission to set up tanks in other parts of the house. =)

Thats funny after my daughter was born a couple months ago she was excited to see me move them out of the house and into the garage-never to come back into the house-but she never said anything about that part.

Well after a week I'm starting to see signs of meta.I've got a couple with the beginning of head stripes and a light yellow tinge to them. Also they are starting to do a wagging of the tail instead of the crazy tail beat.I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

WoW.. the clowns are pretty well developed for 8 days old. I don't usually see second stripes for a while longer on my babies.
