I picked up a nice looking citron goby about a week ago, and tonight I saw him snuggled up against the filter intake. I turned the light on and he seemed to perk up, so I think he is ok, but my mom thinks he might me sick, so I am posting this to ask if it is normal for these gobies to lay on things at night.

Being a goby, he seems to do a lot of sitting around (like me) But I am starting to be concerned for his health.

That was a normal behavior for my Citron Goby.

Citron gobies have quite the personalities sometimes. Just from the sounds of it, sounds normal to me. The yellow clown goby I have perches on almost anything in the tank. I saw him go from perching on the short swivel rod of the koralia powerhead, to being in the sand next to the watchman goby, and finally perching on the glass vertically. Def. an interesting species though but sounds like yours is fine I do believe.
