I just read Martin Moe's review of this book -

Michael Paletta got to travel the world and see 50 of the ultimate hobbyist aquariums and document all their hardware and the efforts and wisdom of their owners. Sounds like a must have book!

The detail is supposed to be extraordinary.

If Martin Moe is excited about it, that's a good sign! Looks like I am getting a new book.

    Stuff "dreams are made of"

Have had Paletta's book since startup - is one of only 3 "aquarium" books I have.

It is "oogled" and "awed" over almost every night by all family members.

Photography is fantasic and shows what is being done by others in home aquariums (admittedly, some with far more "resources" then some of us may have here.) -

Tanks are all well documented and often show the "support systems" in detail, which some of are quite innotative.

FYI - quite a "savings" now at Amazon ---

Not only wonderful pic's - but detailed descriptions of equipment and design of each tank..wide range of approches, sizes - from simplified natural systems to high-tech designs.

Demonstrates there are really few hard/fixed rules on this "art" - some obviously very successful tanks greatly exceeding livestock/lighting/size limitations frequently quoted, as long as other key parameters are closely looked after.

And a favorite part: "Lessons Learned" by each reef builder..

    Has me motivated..

Going to start on stand for next tank this month.
