Blue Derasa Clam!

    I just bought this a few days ago, and didn't know these were available. Beautiful clam and about 4-5 inches. Any thoughts or info on these? Here is a tank shot too!

    Beautiful clam. I also have a blue spot derasa, in my amongst my clamily.

    Congrats, beautiful Derasa.

    That actually used to be the common color until the streaked ones hit the market.

    By the looks of the corals you are obviously doing an outstanding job with the LPS so a clam should also do well.

    Just keep the Ca/Alk/Mag in line as clams tend to be calcium sponges.

    Very nice tank.

    Great clam and tank. I spend alot of time looking at clams and thats the first one I've seen like that. Glad Cheryl is wise and been around for a while.

    Is that a nassarius in the background? I just lost my maxima that was on the sand to a nassarius a couple weeks ago. Some species of nassarius will eat meat. I have another Clam on the rocks and hasn't been bothered by the snails.
