Call me a crypto follower or what have it if you want but nothing will change my opinion. Bigfoot is out there. An intelligent animal living in the vast forests of the world that has yet to be caught....doesnt seem so impossible to me. We dont have all the answers despite what people think!

:) An oldie but a goodie

I thought of you fondly when I read 2 recent articles on the Bigfoot Genome Project and the other images of 2 possible Bigfoots. I also thought of Curt and how rational and opened minded he was during this thread.

How did I miss this thread?! I want to believe that the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker exists in north american forests. At the end of the day, Bigfoot sightings directly correlate to my hiking without a shirt on. Huge, hairy, and have an odd gait do to my various knee injuries.

The genome project is interesting. What I thought most interesting is that a researcher at the University of Texas accused the group of discovering new species. They did not tell the labs what they were analyzing....only that they needed the DNA sequenced. DNA cannot be manipulated. Is it Bigfoot DNA? Who knows. But they have obviously found something. Unfortunately in a world where what you study can and will decide your careers success and reputation many scientists shy away from this subject.

I told my significant other last night, if someone wants to give me grant I will walk around in the woods for 4 years looking for Bigfoot DNA. I need to go back and re-read that article.

I'm a hunter from a family of hunters in one of the most populated states in the country, NJ. Last year a family member had a picture of a pure white 14 point buck on the trail cam. Only the single picture exists. The buck is a ghost. Never seen again by anyone in the area or anyone's trail cameras. How can a pure white deer in NJ grow to maturity and never been seen? After being spotted on camera where did he go? I believe there are things out there that go unseen by humans. Especially in the vast forests of the western states.

Ok - here is some food for thought. In Iowa there is an estimated deer herd of 600,000 deer. For those living in Iowa, ask yourselves how many deer do you see on any given day? In Ohio the deer herd is estimated at 725,000 deer. Thats well over a million deer in 2 states. How many deer do you see within a years time? Maybe 20 out of how many million.

Now if bigfoot does exist in small numbers say 40 between the 2 states. how often would someone ever see one given the vast amount of forest between these 2 states. More than likely this would be a highly intelligent creature nad would know how to avoid people. Also with a more natural growth of hair - would you see one in a forest standing in among trees? If you were to go out hunting with a partner and they were wearing camoflouge and didn't want you to find them, could you?

I think there is a possibility of the existence of a large ape like creature living in the major forested areas of the world. Right now in Iowa there are reports of mountain lions here in this state. Except for a few blurry images from game trail cameras no one seems to believe they exist. Now though since 2000, there have been 3 confirmed kills of mountain lions in Iowa, the first confirmed mountain lions since 1867. Did mountain lions just go away and come back or were there numbers so low people just didnt see them. Or maybe they learned to avoid people all together. Remember - this is a cat that is 8 foot long and 220 pounds when full grown.

Just something to think about. :)
