    Hey guys,

I got two of the 7" Radion G4's about a month ago. I am currently stocking my 75 gallon display with LPS corals, and was wondering what the best setting would be? I currently have it set to the shallow reef setting for 10 hours during the day, then a 5 hour blue only setting after that. I was talking to the guy at my LFS (helped me set up my tank), and he mentioned the radiant light setting. I was just wondering if anyone had any input as to what works best for LPS tanks.

    Currently in tank:
    Acan frag (2x)
    Frogspawn
    Hammer
    Green Ricordea mushroom
    Organ pipe frag
    Duncan coral
    Yellow finger gorgonian
    Zoanthid frag (2x)
    Carnation coral

Im not familiar with the radions although hopefully one day I will be, still running halide/T5 on our reef. As far as settings go just make sure you acclimate properly, those are really powerful lights. Im more into coral color than growth so Im fond of the blue tank look. Post pics when you can, those are really nice led lights. With the corals you currently have they aren't really high light demanding so easy does it.

Okay thank you. I should be able to get a picture tomorrow, the lights are on their main cycle when I'm at work usually, plus my glass is a bit dirty and I'm going to clean tomorrow. I'll do my best to get a good pic too, I'm still trying to figure out how to take good ones with an iphone:). As far as intensity, I have it set really low, 25% for that very reason. I run them for 10 hours during the day, then for my enjoyment, I run a blue-only setting for I think 5 hours after that. Based on some things I've read/heard, corals are essentially blind to blue lights. Would that have any ill-effects on the fish or water quality though?

The only way to take good pics with an Iphone is to buy a samsung, lol. I dont think running blue only for a bit like that will hurt anything. Nothing like that blue led glow at night to see your corals flouresce.

Haha yeah, iPhone isn't great for this. I'm looking into getting a GoPro to take good pictures and video. Anyways, here are some pictures of daytime lights and a good one of my ricordia IMG_4220.JPG IMG_4339.JPG

Haha so that is the reflection of my Christmas tree. I've figured out how to keep the reflection of the tv out of my pictures, but not the Christmas tree yet.
