    I think the filtered water is normal on those reading. What was the filter type again?

    reading some of the test kits was very very hard for me as I am light shade red-green color blind like most males. This is the main reason I bought a pH meter to get an exact reading and stopped guessing.

    man.. i didnt see the Per Gallon next to the 45ML.  just read right past it.  so ill put more in on my drip and do one drop per sec or so then check ph again.

    i am gonna aim for 8.2PH. the color is very distinct there dont think i can misread it. also using 2 diff test for confirmation. ill post back

    8.3 is perfect.

    Thats not per gallon of tank water.
    it is water you mix the vinegar with.

    LOLOL YEA I noticed.. thank goodness i caught it after every dose. dropped to 7.8, but rebounded it to 8.0 right now. watching it to see where it goes before i touch it again.

    How fast did this drop? this could kill everything if dropping to fast.

    What are all your tests saying right now?

    droppped slow as i did this over a few hours.  so far everything ok and testing tooday

    PH 8.2 (saltmaster test kit) and 8.4 with Dry tab kit
    calc 500PPM with Salifert and using LaMotte it was 575PPM

    Alc is 4.5 with both tests

    0 trite, trate and amonia

    sg 1.023

    the major change of water have been great for me tho. water is clear and fish swimming more. my once deplete rock has the mini polyp thriving right now. very small yet wide open and very lime green

    What buffer were you using before all this happened? Seachem?
