    I dont have a DSB in my old tank, so im re-using the old sand and adding more to it. Im mostly worried about my corals, I only have 2 clowns, six line and a blenny.

    I just did a move from one tank to the other and chose not to reuse my sand. Even though i do not have a deep sand bed i was surprised to see all the gook that was on the bottom 1/2 inch or so of the old sand bed. I believe that i made the right decision after seeing this. I did take a few cups of the old sand and used that to seed the new sand. I have no idea how long that process takes but from all my reading i know that it will happen. It has been almost 24 hours since i did the move and so far all is ok.
