My Maculosus Angelfish that came out of 4 weeks of QT last week has been eating well and appears very healthy except for a small white clump on its top fin that it has had for about a week. I think that it is most likely lymphocystis. My plan for treatment is to just keep good water quality and feed a variety of appropriate foods soaked in Selcon to keep other fish from getting infected. Thoughts?

I believe it's a type of fungus associated with larger angelfish. I've seen an emperor angel in a fish store with some on its fin and they actually removed it, gently scraped it off. I wouldn't be brazen enough to try it but it's one of there show fish and from what they said it can spread to other angels. I've never done research so I'm going by what they said only.

what did you use in the qt tank? Copper? Reason i ask is larger angels in particular are more sensitive to developing lympcystis when kept in copper or formaldhyde.

I wouldnt worry too much as long as it is eating and acting fine!
