I'm looking to purchase a 20-30g acrylic tank and I was looking for some recommendations on something that can withstand a mantis shrimps punch.

    Appreciate the help. :)

From what I have read they are able to break glass - I just got new carpet in the room he'll go in so I'm not looking to come home to 29g worth of water. :)

There is another thread about a mantis tank (weird two in one day). It should be in the recent threads. it gives the species that can't break glass. You may want to check that out. Small acrylic tanks aren't very common, at least in my experience.

I grabbed a 30 tall off eBay. It's only 1/4" acrylic and my mantis (peacock) hits on it every so often. Hasn't done any damage. As long as you keep them happy and give them about 10" of sand you'll have no worries. I've had mine for well over 4 years with no issues.
