ZOMG my pH is 8.65!! (Solved:bad calibration solution)

    I rinsed mine in rodi too between each solution. It didn't read 7 in the rodi though I forget what it read though. I didn't leave it in very long.

    Thanks for getting back to me. Ive ordered Milwaukee pH calibration solution (7.01 and 10.01) a few days ago. I will definitely keep you guys updated.

    Oh also so its been warm out and I opened a window where the tank is ph went up to 8.3. Amazing lol. I even have my intake on my Skimmer routed outside all year lol.

    I was airing out (and freezing) after the boss's dinner cooking as well, the Apex showed even higher pH. I was like whatef.

    Good news!

    Here's the update:
    The new calibration solution came today.

    After the calibration it shows this

    After the calibration, I also tested the old solutions and it showed 6.65 when it shouldve been 7.0 and showed 9.45 when it shouldve been 10.0 on the Apex.

    Conclusion:
    Bad calibration solutions!!

    Thanks guys I was freaking out over nothing.

    Im so glad you got it figured out and didn't try to drop you ph with other methods

    Now that I think about it, none of the corals or inverts showed any distress/issue, so I shouldve gone by how they looked to begin with!
