For those of you who use or know about Zeovit in a reactor, the guide says to run the reactor on 3 hours off 3 hours when you start using zeolites, Do/did you do this? If so for how long? Did you notice any difference?

    Thanks for your experience.

I did not do this and no harm befell my corals. My understanding is this is done in the first month to reduce the stress on the corals of switching to Zeovit. It is not a permanent thing. If you can do it, I would - just as a way to ease into things.

    Did not do it..
Side note... I started out using the recommended amount of stones which was about two full bags. I'm now only using about 1/3 of a bag. Huge difference. Depending on the bio load and flow through the stones one could certainly over do that department. I don't have a lot of fish. I also don't really want to run the system with the corals slightly bleached looking. YMMV.

I have been doing it off and on but was wondering if i needed to continue this. So I will discontinue the off and on and just have it on all the time now.

How big is your system? I am using 1/2 a bag on my 55g about 60g system water. What differences did you notice cutting back to that amount?

About 270 gallons total. 215 display. I only have about 8 fish mostly small with two tangs.
I felt like the PO4/NO3 was too low stripping my corals of color and nutrients(this will also vary depending on flow through the stones). Some of it could have been the zeostart. I stopped using that for now but may start again if PO4 goes higher than I like. Yesterday was .03 PO4. Besides the stones I use some bacteria, skimmer and socks.. that's all I do besides water changes. I haven't dosed the zeostart or any carbon dose in a few months now. Seems to me the bacteria and stones do the job.
It seems like if my PO4 goes up my cotton candy algae grows and if I beat back the PO4 to nothing my dinos flare up.. So I can't seem to win either way with that.
One thing about all the recommended doses for all their products is that seems like way too much.
