I have a small yellow tang and he has been acting weird in the last few days...
He is going back and forth along the front window. Kind of rubbing the wall or dancing or twitching... I don't know how to call it! He does not do that against the rocks or anything...
He eats very well. And there is no marks on him. No white spots. Nothing... He seems to be breathing a little fast but I am not a 100% percent sure. Maybe because he's so worked up! During the night, he goes to sleep in the rocks and stops his little "dance".
I don't really know what to do... I tried to catch him and put him in my quarantine but he is impossible to catch!! I've got 70lbs of rocks with corals, etc and he's the fastest little thing.
    What should I do?
    Thanks!

Leave him be. If the eyes are not cloudy he's not sick, sounds like he's hyper. Putting him it a QT is only going to stress him. watch for changing signs and get some med's on hand just incase and of course check your water.

Yeah I would just let him be. I dont recommend ever pulling Tangs out of the DT and putting them into a QT because that is too much stress for them.

    Hi,

He's been there for about 5 weeks...

Also, my parameters are all good:

    Salinity: 1.025
    Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate: 0
    Ph 8.3
    Temperature: 80F

All the other fish are acting normal and eating well..

Sounds like hes just getting out some energy and having a good time. Nice smooth glass probably feels good and you cant run into rocks when your letting the glass guide your way. Sorry thinking like a fish here.

Is it possible that he's attacking his reflection on the glass? Since, he's passing back and forth and rubbing his side/tail against the glass...

I have a yellow tang that I got 3 weeks ago and now he has a red tint to him. He is eating and swimming with the other fish except he doesn't like it when I turn the lights on. He goes and hides. What should I do? Most people I talk to say to leave him alone as long as he eats. I'm new to saltwater so I get a little concerned quickly.

I had one that grew pretty large. From almost day one, it behaved that way and the older it got it seemed the faster and for longer periods it would do it. I only have a 55 gal. so I chalked it up to a tiger in a cage. They need a lot of room.

wow... this seems familiar. i had a tang for about a couple of weeks, it was doing fine. after that period it started doing exactly the same thing you described, i was really worried especially because he was breathing really fast.....he stopped eating a week after that, the week after that he died. i never found out why he died, i just put it down to having a tang in a small tank. it would be interesting to c what the real problem was.
