wot piping is safe to use in a reef tank ?

    is pvc pipe ok or do i need to get sum thing els if so wot do i need thanks

    I used pvc for all of my plumbing. Works just fine.

    PVC pipe is a standard aquarium hobby material. Just wash out the inside before using it.

    PVC is NSF, and that means food rated, so if it is safe for us, it is safe for reefs:)

    But yes, wash it out first. You never know what has been in there.

    PVC glue.

    Now make sure to use a PVC primer first on both sides of the joint. I use the purple Oatey Primer,a nd the oatey gold and white container of PVC glue. HD and other retailers sell these 2 items together to make it easy.
