Hello, I am currently itching to get a gigas clam to round out my collection. I am having trouble finding any locally or online. They were fairly common a couple years ago, where are they all hiding? I heard word that there was some new CITES stuff with them but cant back that up. Any help would be appreciated.

I can snap pictures of the one in our tank if you're interested. You're also welcome to the two clownfish that call the clam home :)

At this point any color would do. Size wise 4-12"+. My tank is a 48"x36"x24" with 3x 400w 14k halides with t5 actintic suppliment. I already have some squamosas in my 55 and they will soon be transferred. But since I have the space I figured I could house a gigas for at least some time.

There are some photo's of it here somewhere with the clowns sticking the heads out of it :) Its 10 to 12 inches long about 6 -8 inches tall About the size of a Nerf football maybe a bit larger ? Pinkish to purple color with bright blue dots . It's Rather nice looking clam I'd not have it if it where not a nice coloration .. And has been under about the very same lighting its enire life here. We've had it for 3 plus yrs now.. Either go to my Sponsor's site here Aquatic Arts Technologies and contact me there or P/M myself or ammcarrig if interested and we can set up the shipping of it . I'll have someone from the coral farm I manage to pick it up to have it bagged and tagged for proper shipment.
