    Yikes, I've never heard an estimate above 25MP for 35mm film, even on the best film with the best processing methods...let alone 400+MP....

    Ok so 405Mp is the actual scientific break down if you where to break down each silver halide of film. The limitation is with optics. so once you bring it to real world applications it some where between 30 to 50Mp

    That's nuts that optics have so much to do with it. I was reading that 4"x5" large format film is only 200MP.

    yes it's all over the place when you look on line. I think in the real world piratically you are right with around 20-25Mp.
    the important fact is to make a no loss 8X10 only needs a 7.2Mp camera and quit honestly you can get good quality out of a 2Mp at 8x10 as long as the optics are good
