My favorite camer is my iphone 3g. All my friends envy it becasue it is the only iphone camera that has no problem taking pics of tanks without giving them a heavy blue tint. It honestly looks exactly like it looks to the eye. I will miss it though since I will be upgrading soon.

I'm converted, I really like the digital. But I have to say because it is so easy I've lost a lot of the skills I used to have

yeah anyone with digital if they take enough pics they can pic out a few that are really good, thats what i do for money i go around take lots of pics, pick out the best ones frame em and mat them and sell them at the local coffee shop. i get easily 200 bucks a month its a pretty good gig.

It's only 2mp. I have seen many people's pics with fancy cameras that can't outperform my iphone. I'll take skills over mp anytime. If I need more mp, I'll just brweak out the dslr. I just don't find myself using it much since I can upload to photobucket and sited like 3reef right from the camera.

megapixels only really matter if your blowing up the pic to frame it or something, if you did that with your phone it would look grainy and you wouldnt know what the pic was of. but thats pretty much all that megapixels measure

Doesn't matter, most people take 40+ shots per good one anyways until they get super skilled.

135mm film is 35mm film same thing.

most professional printers print at 300dpi at 8bit.
so to make a 4x6 print you only need a file size of 1200x1800 or a 1.2Mb camera
so in reality anything bigger than a 1.2Mb file requires the printer to throw out image data to make the print. So depending on the quality of the software doing the throwing will truly effect the print quality.
